MEET THE DOCTOR
Eric Gladden, DMD, PC
Dr. Eric Gladden was born and raised in Savannah, GA. He attended Armstrong State College for two years prior to being accepted into the University Of Georgia College Of Pharmacy. Following completion of his Bachelor of Science and Doctorate of Pharmacy degrees at the University of Georgia, Dr. Gladden completed a 1-year postdoctoral residency in nutritional support in Winter Park, FL. After practicing as a pharmacist for five years, Dr. Gladden attended the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry where he completed his Doctorate of Medical Dentistry Degree in 2002.
During his collegiate academic career, Dr. Gladden was recognized for many achievements. While in Pharmacy school, he was inducted into the Rho Chi honor society, which is reserved for the top 5% of pharmacy students. Dr. Gladden also received the Dean Waters award for student leadership and was an active member of the American Student Pharmacist Association. He was a member of Kappa Psi Pharmaceutical Fraternity and served as President of this organization his senior year. During his time in dental school, Dr. Gladden as a participant in the Senior Honors Clinic reserved for the top 5% of students in his dental class. In addition to receiving recognition from the oral medicine faculty for his outstanding achievements in this department, Dr. Gladden was also honored by the practice management faculty as being the outstanding student in his class.
Dr. Gladden has continued his passion for education and leadership into his dental career. He attends numerous continuing education courses throughout the year to advance his dental training at the Pankey Institute in Key Biscayne, FL as well as the Spear Institute in Scottsdale AZ. Dr. Gladden is a past president of the Savannah Dental Society, a member of the American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry. Additionally, Dr. Gladden serves as the Assistant Clinical Director for the Savannah Volunteer Dental Clinic. As an adjunct professor for the School of Dentistry of Augusta University (formerly The Medical College of Georgia), Dr. Gladden enjoys sharing his knowledge with future dentists in both the clinical and volunteer setting.
Dr. Gladden met his wife Anne while she was completing her pharmacy degree at the University of Georgia. They feel very fortunate to make their home in Savannah with their 2 children, Will and Megan & their Boykin Spaniel, Grace. When away from the office, Dr. Gladden enjoys spending time with his family and sharing his love of the water, especially recreational coastal activities including boating, fishing and sailing.
